So a few nights ago, Ruyi and Chrystella invited me to have dinner with a missionary family.
The stories they shared of how the lord brought them together (mom and dad) was so touching. And then the mom shared more with us girls later on about how the lord worked in her life.
They (mom and dad) married each other knowing that the lord chose them for each other, they came on this trip to visit the dad's family by faith, sent their first son to the school in another country by faith, basically, they sought the lord for every decision they had to make. In the end, the lord answered and provided.
When we asked about how to hear God's voice and shared about how we sometimes wonder whether it is our voice we are hearing or it is God's, the dad gave us a very practical advice. Something i'm sure i've heard in church before but it does not hurt to be reminded again. He said we usually have to battle with three or four voices. 1st, yourself, 2nd, God's, 3rd, the devil and the 4th, other people's voices (may be used by the devil). And the one thing that can separate them all and give you a clear indication is asking yourself who gets the glory in the end?
I gained alot from this meeting. I'm not sure as to when i'll ever get to meet this beautiful family again, but the lord has definitely blessed me with their testimonies. I wanted to cry so much when the mom was sharing, the Holy Spirit i believe was definitely stirring something inside me. I teared up when i saw tears rolling down Ruyi's face. I looked to my sister and saw her eyes teary as well. And i realize the Holy Spirit was working in all of us.
We saw this grp of dancers dancing for donations so that they can go for some hip hop competition in L.A. they were fantastic!!! i was so engrossed and it took me about 5 minutes before i realized i should record their dancing with my phone camera...so here's part of it...watch till the end cos that's where u see some serious cool moves
The photos we took in Sydney are up...check 'em out!
I would love to type out every single detail of what we did there..but i figure it would be better if i told you when we meet.
Basically, we had FUN! the hotel, Park Hyatt, was fantastic!!! the city was great, the food was great, the people were great...i wish i was still there now...
although i have not collated all our receipts and calculated our total spending down under...i'm quite sure we spent toooooooooo much. and because of this, i've made the decision to not go shopping in singapore for a year. i'll start shopping after i've graduated. yep.
